John Howe studied law in Newcastle and Leeds and worked for various practices around West Yorkshire before establishing the firm in his home town, Pudsey.
Having qualified in 1988, John has gained experience in a variety of different areas of law with marked success. He has had two cases reported in case law reports concerning Children Act proceedings and he holds the record for completing the quickest divorce ever in 5 days. He has conducted litigation in this country and abroad.
John has appeared on TV and he is a regular contributor on local radio. He has appeared in both local and national newspapers in connection with cases for which he had personal conduct, including being responsible for the preparation of the contractual documents for a prestigious development in Bulgaria.
His wealth of experience and his common sense approach has enabled him to build the firm with consummate ease with a significant following around the country. He now practices as a general practitioner predominantly for businesses of varying sizes giving advice on such matters as employment, contracts, succession, mergers, litigation and exit strategies, as well as being able to give advice on divorce, family and other related issues.

Jeremy studied law at Middlesex University and Chester College of Law, qualifying as a solicitor in 1994. With strong personal and business connections in both Harrogate and Leeds, Jeremy worked in two Leeds law firms having been previously articled to John Howe and he subsequently joined the Company in 2001.
Jeremy specialises in Family Law, dealing with all aspects relating to divorce, financial settlements, matrimonial property and private law Children Act cases. In addition Jeremy undertakes Residential Conveyancing and Wills and Probate matters.
Jenna started working at John Howe & Co in 2013 and has since completed her law degree in 2015 then her LPC and Masters in law, business and management in 2016.
Qualifying as a Solicitor at the beginning of 2018 following her training contract overseen by her father and Managing Director John Howe, Jenna now intends to follow in John’s footsteps as a general practitioner, providing common sense legal advice on a variety of different subject matters in a way that people can easily understand.

Leighan qualified as a Solicitor in 2013 after completing her law degree at Leeds Metropolitan University, her LPC at BPP Law School and successfully completing her Training Contact at the practice between 2011 and 2013.
Leighan specialises in dispute resolution and in particular contract claims and debt recovery, professional negligence claims and she has a particular interest in contentious probate cases. Leighan also advises in clinical negligence claims and personal injury claims ranging from low value whiplash claims to complex and serious injury claims.
In addition Leighan undertakes a great deal of employment matters where she has acted for both Claimants and Respondents in the Employment Tribunal.

Paul was admitted as a solicitor in 1981 and having been employed in several well known Leeds law firms over the years undertaking a variety of work including criminal law, he set up his own successful practice in 1998.
In 2011 Paul retired his practice and commenced employment as a Full time Consultant solicitor with John Howe and Co undertaking Residential and Commercial Conveyancing and Wills and Probate work
Glenys has worked in the legal profession since 1982 predominately working in areas covering residential property development and sales and purchases. She joined John Howe & Co as our Residential Conveyancing Manager in 2003 and has established a sizable and loyal client base.
Glenys deals with both freehold and leasehold property matters both for developers and individuals and has extensive experience in dealing with government assisted housing schemes.
Isabel competed her law degree at Leeds Beckett University in 2018 followed by the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in 2019 and she commenced her Training Contract with the firm in August 2019 such training being overseen by Managing Director John Howe.
Isabel is interested in a variety of different legal areas ranging from Property to Corporate matters. She aims to qualify as a Solicitor in 2021 and, in keeping with the ethos of the firm, provide pragmatic legal advice to clients on a variety of subject matters.
